Jo Anna Pollock

Attorney Jo Anna Pollock focuses her practice on helping inventors, artists and small businesses develop and maintain equal footing in the marketplace by enforcing their intellectual property rights against companies that infringe those rights.

Jo Anna has obtained millions of dollars in settlements on behalf of the firm’s intellectual property clients and negotiated several license agreements involving a variety of technologies.  Jo Anna’s cases have taken on entire industries, including the financial, telecommunications and electronic voting industries.  She has represented clients against some of the world’s largest companies, including Apple, Visa and Cisco.

Jo Anna’s cases involve claims of copyright, patent, and trademark infringement as well as unfair business practices and violations of the False Marking Statute.  Her practice is nationwide, including litigation in the federal district courts of Delaware, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska and Texas and on appeal at the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. 

Jo Anna formerly represented companies in matters of complex commercial litigation and personal injury. Protecting people’s rights is now an integral part of Jo Anna’s life.  In the arts, Jo Anna regularly provides pro bono legal representation by advising low-income and emerging artists, filmmakers and storytellers on protecting their rights. She also serves on the education committee at the Edwardsville Art Center. 

Jo Anna also offers free legal representation to numerous abused, neglected and disabled children as a guardian ad litem.
