Jo Anna Pollock

Attorney Jo Anna Pollock has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of the firm’s intellectual property clients.  She continues to focus her practice on helping inventors, artists, musicians and businesses develop and maintain equal footing in the marketplace by enforcing their intellectual property rights against companies that infringe those rights.

Jo Anna is responsible for handling all stages of disputes from litigation avoidance to litigating against entire industries.  Jo Anna recognizes where settlement may be advantageous to her clients and uses her mediation and licensing experience to negotiate the most favorable licensing and settlement terms for her clients.  Where litigation is appropriate, Jo Anna relies on her experience litigating in Illinois and Missouri state courts and federal district and appellate courts across the country.  Some of her successes include first-chairing and second-chairing trials to verdict and obtaining multiple preliminary injunctions in copyright cases that forced defendants to remove infringing products from the market.

Jo Anna devotes significant time to pro bono work by offering free legal representation to children as a guardian ad litem and by advising emerging artists, filmmakers and writers about copyright matters.  Beyond advocating for clients, Jo Anna serves as an arbitrator through the state court of Illinois.
