Stephanie’s Story

When Stephanie was a toddler, her father worked for a subcontractor of the company Aerojet. His workload included cutting rocket motor parts to size. Some of these parts, however, contained microscopic asbestos fibers, which came home from work with him on his clothing.

Decades later, at the age of 42, Stephanie passed away from mesothelioma — due to secondhand asbestos exposure that occurred when she was barely old enough to walk.

After Stephanie’s family filed a lawsuit against Aerojet, the company denied ever having used asbestos in its rockets and missiles — something our Missouri mesothelioma lawyers were able to prove was a lie.

Ernie Conry, a Simmons Hanly Conroy patient

Ernie’s Story

Ernie, a St. Louis resident, was exposed to asbestos throughout his life — though most notably during his career as an auto mechanic. He experienced symptoms for nearly eight years and underwent multiple tests before doctors diagnosed him with pleural mesothelioma.

After treating the disease with chemotherapy, radiation and surgery, Ernie passed away in 2009. He is remembered for his wonderfully positive attitude during difficult times. Ernie showed others just how important optimism is in the fight against mesothelioma.

By hiring Simmons Hanly Conroy, Ernie was able to secure his family’s financial future.

Missouri Mesothelioma Lawyer FAQs

What is an asbestos exposure or mesothelioma lawsuit?

A mesothelioma lawsuit is a type of legal action taken against companies that made or used products containing asbestos.

Since many companies knowingly hid the dangers of asbestos from their employees and consumers, victims may be able to hold asbestos companies accountable and pursue compensation for injuries they suffered as a result of the company’s products.

Who can file a mesothelioma legal claim?

You may be able to file a mesothelioma legal claim if:

  • You were diagnosed with mesothelioma or another asbestos-related disease
  • You’re the family member or estate representative of someone with mesothelioma

Even if your loved one has passed away from mesothelioma, you may still be able to pursue compensation on their behalf.

Call (800) 326-8900 now to learn if you may be eligible to file a claim with the help of a mesothelioma lawyer in Missouri. It costs nothing to speak with us.

How long do I have to file a mesothelioma claim in Missouri?

You have only a short window of time after your mesothelioma diagnosis to file an asbestos claim due to statutes of limitations, which are state-specific deadlines on when you can file a lawsuit.

Once these deadlines pass, it’s too late to take legal action for your illness.

Because of this, it’s important to contact us as soon as possible. Our team can listen to what’s going on and let you know if you still have time to take legal action.

How much does a Missouri mesothelioma attorney cost?

At Simmons Hanly Conroy, there are no initial or out-of-pocket costs to work with a Missouri asbestos attorney.

We work on a contingency basis, which means we only get paid if we successfully recover compensation for you.

Reach out to our team now to see if you qualify for compensation — for free.

Will I have to travel to file a mesothelioma claim?

Our Missouri asbestos lawyers will come to you, wherever you may be and whenever it’s convenient for you. We will travel to meet with you in the comfort of your own home or in a location of your choosing.

Though we can’t guarantee you won’t ever have to travel during your case, it’s very unlikely you will need to leave the area you live in to receive compensation.
