Firm Shareholder Perry Browder Co-Chairs National Asbestos Litigation Conference

Perry Browder, managing Shareholder at the Simmons law firm, will co-chair Perrin’s Asbestos Litigation Conference Sept. 13-15, 2010, in San Francisco. The national conference, called “A National Overview & Outlook,” will welcome hundreds of attorneys – both plaintiff and defendants – from around the United States to learn about national trends in asbestos litigations from those on the front lines.

Browder leads Simmons Hanly Conroy’s asbestos litigation department, which has recovered more than $3 billion in verdicts and settlements since 1999. A veteran of more than 200 cases, Perry has played a key role in some of the largest asbestos verdicts in the country, including a $250 million verdict against U.S. Steel.

He spoke earlier this year at Perrin’s Asbestos Litigation Conference, “Cutting-Edge Issues in Asbestos Litigation.” There, he addressed current and emerging asbestos trends in his presentation called “Asbestos Litigation in 2010 & Beyond,” noting that “For us, it’s not about statistics, it’s about people.”

As co-chair of the September conference at the Four Seasons Hotel, Browder will expand his presentation to encompass the implications of asbestos litigation trends on a national level.
