Mesothelioma Foundation hails firm’s commitment to curing Mesothelioma

October, 2006: At the Mesothelioma Foundation’s International Symposium in Chicago, Simmons Hanly Conroy and Managing Shareholder Jeff Cooper received the Bruce Vento Hope Builder Award. The yearly award recognizes individuals and organizations who are working hard to bring hope to the lives of those suffering from mesothelioma.

This is the third year the Foundation has presented the award. Last year, U.S. Senator Patty Murray was recognized. The award is named in honor of U.S. Rep. Bruce Vento, from Minnesota, who died from mesothelioma in October, 2000. Vento was a board member of the Foundation and was committed to raising awareness of mesothelioma and improving treatment.
