Simmons Shareholder Amy Garrett Named ’40 Under 40 Illinois Attorneys to Watch’

Simmons Hanly Conroy Shareholder Amy Garrett has been named one of the 2013 “40 Under 40 Illinois Attorneys to Watch” by the Law Bulletin Company, publishers of the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and Chicago Lawyers magazine.

The selection committee received more than 1,350 nominations from across the state. The committee selected young Illinois lawyers they deemed demonstrated an exemplary level of legal expertise, a commitment to giving back to their communities, and a willingness to work hard at their profession.

“Amy Garrett’s dedication to her clients and the legal community at large is tremendous,” said Michael Angelides, Simmons Hanly Conroy Managing Shareholder. “We are glad to have her on our side.”

Amy joined the Firm in 2003. Soon after she was promoted to a trial team leader and became a Shareholder in 2009. In addition to being the firm’s Pro Bono Program Coordinator, she is also the director of the Simmons Employee Foundation, which has given more than $1 million to St. Louis area charities.

“I am humbled to be recognized with so many other committed individuals,” Garrett said. She will be recognized at an awards banquet later this year along with the rest of the 2013 class.
