Asbestos & Ovarian Cancer - Homepage

Studies have now found considerable links between asbestos exposure and ovarian cancer, and suggest women who have been exposed to asbestos are 1.77 times more likely than those not exposed to develop the deadly disease. These women were exposed by frequent use of asbestos-contaminated talcum powder products. These products, commonly used for feminine hygiene, have been contaminated with asbestos for decades. Manufacturers of these products failed to adequately warn users about the dangers and continued to market the products as safe.

Asbestos, a known carcinogen, is most commonly associated with malignancies such as mesothelioma, a rare and incurable cancer. Decades of concrete evidence have established these associations.
