Angelique Jackson is an attorney at Simmons Hanly Conroy. She joined the firm in 2020, focusing her practice on helping individuals and families affected by mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases.

Bringing more than twenty years of legal experience in workers’ compensation and health law to her cases, Angelique leverages her strengths in breaking down big legal questions and resolving complex questions/cases to help individuals and families who’ve been injured by asbestos.

Angelique interviews clients and assists with depositions. She investigates products, work and secondary sites, social security records, and any potential places of second-hand asbestos exposure. Angelique also files claims against corporations’ asbestos bankruptcy trusts on behalf of her clients.

Integrity & Empathy

Integrity and empathy are the cornerstones of Angelique’s practice as an attorney.

“My husband worked in an industry like many of the clients I help represent in asbestos litigation cases,” she said. “When I read the details of exposures, it shakes me because I think this could have easily been me or my family facing this. Navigating the legal part of a mesothelioma diagnosis is the last thing a patient needs to worry about.”

Angelique’s clients can expect genuine understanding and unwavering dedication to their cases. “I will leave no stone unturned in the pursuit of justice,” she said. “At times my approach could be described as overzealous—because nothing is more important than ensuring my clients receive the compensation they deserve.”

An Experienced Attorney

Before joining Simmons Hanly Conroy, Angelique was a workers’ compensation defense attorney at a St. Louis law firm. She previously worked as a member of the e-discovery teams of many of the top law firms in St. Louis and as in-house counsel at Ascension, a non-profit health care organization.

Angelique received a B.A. in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1995. She received her J.D. from the Saint Louis University School of Law in 1999. She has volunteered with VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) and Medical Mission at Home.
