Crystal Nicole Knox is an attorney in the Complex Litigation Department at Simmons Hanly Conroy. She joined the firm in 2019 and focuses her practice on mass torts and class action litigation. Working out of the Alton office, her litigation responsibilities consist of reviewing complex documents to assist in discovery and deposition prep.

“I give every effort to provide professional and diligent counsel,” Crystal said. “Legal counsel should always be centered around the client.”

Crystal’s role on the litigation team allows her fellow attorneys to represent hardworking people who have been wronged through corporate fraud. Through her diligent work, attention to detail and prior experience with document review, she assists in finding key evidence that is crucial to a client’s case.

Litigating Throughout the Legal Process

Before joining the firm, Crystal worked as a civil and commercial litigation attorney for more than eight years, where she gained experience in managing a high-volume case load of litigated files from pre-litigation to post-judgement.

Crystal has also managed a private practice where she tried commercial and civil cases, and represented clients in real estate contracts and business transactions. She also negotiated and arbitrated operation agreements and contracts for businesses as well as counseled new business owners.

In her early career, Crystal served as the legal operations manager for a breach-of-contract department in the areas of commercial and civil litigation at a large law firm in Chicago. There, she managed a team of attorneys and legal staff and oversaw compliance benchmarks for local, state and federal regulations.

She leverages this past experience on behalf of her current clients’ cases and delivers results with a high level of legal sophistication.

“A client’s needs and understanding should always take priority,” she said. “They are the reason we are here correcting the wrongdoing of corporations that have not treated them as individuals.”
