Courtney brings more than eight years of experience handling complex litigation cases like asbestos exposure in multiple states including Illinois, Missouri and Arkansas. She has helped recover millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements on behalf of her clients. Before starting at the firm in 2008, Courtney worked at a St. Louis plaintiff’s firm where she represented clients in asbestos, personal injury and the Federal Employment Liability Act.
Courtney grew up in a blue collar family where her dad worked for Ameren Electric for more than 40 years and is still a retired member of the IBEW. Through her father’s work, Courtney has an intrinsic understanding of the challenges faced by those who have suffered occupational injuries through no fault of their own.
“I understand the dedication many of my clients have to their jobs because it’s the same dedication I saw every day growing up with my dad,” Courtney said.
Courtney earned her law degree at St. Louis University School of Law with a certificate in health law. She graduated with her B.S. in finance and management services from St. Louis University. During her free time, she does pro bono work for the Madison County Legal Clinic, organized through the Third Judicial Circuit Court Pro Bono Committee.
