Simmons Hanly Conroy Renews $25,000 Pledge to Support Malignant Mesothelioma Symposium

Simmons Hanly Conroy, one of the nation’s largest mass torts firms, has renewed its support of the Meso Foundation with a $25,000 donation. As part of Simmons Hanly Conroy’s efforts to support mesothelioma research and raise asbestos awareness, this sponsorship is once again dedicated to the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation’s annual Malignant Mesothelioma Symposium.

“We are proud to support events like the annual Malignant Mesothelioma Symposium and the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation, which has been a consistent leader in the fight against asbestos-related disease,” said Chairman John Simmons.

This year, the Meso Foundation’s symposium will take place on March 25-27 in Bethesda, Maryland. During the 3-day conference, patients, their families, caregivers, and the bereaved community come together to learn about the latest in mesothelioma treatment options. Attendees also get the opportunity to speak face-to-face with top mesothelioma experts and socialize with others in similar situations as their own.

Sessions will cover a variety of topics, including:

  • Medical oncology clinical trials
  • Imaging
  • Lived experiences of the mesothelioma patient and families
  • Debunking myths
  • Legal issues important to mesothelioma patients and families
  • What’s new for mesothelioma screening and diagnosis
  • Compassion fatigue
  • Activism
  • Support groups

Anyone who has been affected by mesothelioma – whether you have lost a loved one, are currently caring for a loved one, have been diagnosed with mesothelioma yourself, or are a medical professional who treats patients with mesothelioma – will find the 2019 Symposium a valuable mesothelioma resource.

The symposium is being streamed live on Facebook. Click here to watch the recorded live stream coverage.
