Attorney Ron Herron brings more than 25 years of litigation experience to his practice at Simmons Hanly Conroy LLC. He represents individuals and families impacted by asbestos-related diseases like mesothelioma. He has helped recover millions of dollars on their behalf.

“The gravity of a mesothelioma diagnosis weighs heavily upon the injured and their families,” Ron said. “They need help on a level unlike other kinds of cases. I bring out the whole truth of their work history and asbestos exposure and strive toward securing the best results possible.”

Ron is based in the firm’s San Francisco office. He has practiced law since 1988 and is experienced in medical malpractice, pharmaceutical litigation, catastrophic personal injury and complex litigation. Before becoming an attorney, he worked as a paralegal for 10 years. He has also served as a judge pro tem for the Alameda County Superior Court in California.

“I help level the playing field for those hurt by grievous, preventable injustices,” Ron said. “I am passionate about my client’s cause. After practicing for 25 years, I bring a certain resolve and perspective to the table.”

Ron graduated from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, where he earned his B.A. in history and minored in science. He received his J.D. from the University of California’s Hastings College of Law in San Francisco.

Ron has earned an AV rating of 5.0 out of 5.0 through the Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating process. A father of three, he regularly lectures elementary school children in the San Ramon Valley School District on the subject of prehistory in the western United States, including native cultures and lifestyles.

Ron also recently gave a presentation to the International Association of Machinists in San Mateo, California, about asbestos regarding aircraft engines and mechanics. He has been admitted to the bar in California and is affiliated with the Consumer Attorneys of California, San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association and American Association for Justice.
