Clint Fisher Elevated to Chantix Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee

On August 11, 2011, Judge Inge P. Johnson of United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, who is overseeing the Chantix Multi-District Litigation, appointed Clint Fisher to the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee. Mr. Fisher had been appointed to the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee at the outset of the case in January 2010, but in recognition of his significant role in numerous aspects of this important Multi-District Litigation, he was added to the Executive Committee by his fellow Committee members. Simmons Hanly Conroy represents individuals who have been injured by Chantix, a smoking cessation drug that has been linked to suicidal thoughts and actions, serious accidents, and mood and behavioral changes, including four of the potential bellwether trial plaintiffs. Jayne Conroy continues to serve as Co-Lead State Liaison Counsel, a post to which she was appointed in January 2010.
