Attorney Garrett Hurst is an associate at Simmons Hanly Conroy. He joined the firm in 2024 and works in the asbestos litigation department.

Serving His Community

Garrett is based in the firm’s Alton office. He was initially driven to pursue a career in law due to a desire to help people in his local community, and this commitment remains at the core of the work he does today.

“What I like most about my role is being of service to people during a difficult time in their life,” Garrett explained.

As a mesothelioma attorney, Garrett helps families who have been impacted by asbestos-related diseases seek justice and compensation from the companies responsible for their illnesses.

Many asbestos companies knew their products were dangerous, but they hid this information from their employees and the public to protect their profits. By gathering evidence and preparing lawsuits on behalf of his clients, Garrett strives to hold these companies accountable for the harm they’ve caused.

Outside of work, Garrett is actively engaged in community service. He regularly volunteers his time as an active member of the Ainad Shriners supporting Shriners Children’s Hospital.

Background & Experience

Garrett graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Business with a minor in Service Leadership from Saint Louis University (SLU) in 2020. He completed his J.D. at the SLU School of Law in 2023.

Before joining Simmons Hanly Conroy, Garrett worked as an associate at Baker Sterchi Cowden & Rice, where he assisted with all phases of litigation.
