Asbestos Exposure and Mesothelioma in Ohio

Our previous experience representing mesothelioma victims in Ohio is important because it means we are familiar with Ohio job sites where asbestos exposure occurred.

Asbestos is a deadly mineral that has been used in thousands of products in multiple industries including manufacturing, steel working, shipbuilding and more. When asbestos fibers are inhaled or ingested, they increase a person’s risk of contracting an asbestos-related disease like mesothelioma.

The difficult part is asbestos fibers are often microscopic and many workers may not know how they were exposed. If you are unsure how your asbestos exposure occurred, that does not necessarily mean you can’t file a mesothelioma lawsuit. Our experienced mesothelioma attorneys in Ohio have helped our past clients identify their asbestos exposures, and they are ready to help you and your family as well.

Mesothelioma Warrior Bruce’s Story

Before becoming a beloved high school English teacher, Ohio native Bruce Waite worked as a construction worker and a gas station attendant. At both jobs he came into contact with asbestos-containing products, having never been warned about the dangers of asbestos exposure.

In 2002, after experiencing breathing trouble while running, Bruce was diagnosed with mesothelioma. With his wife Nancy and his daughter Jill by his side, Bruce continued to run every day, as he had for over 30 years. He also fought back against mesothelioma — and the companies responsible for his illness — by working with Simmons Hanly Conroy to file a mesothelioma lawsuit.
