Attorney Thomas Moore brings a diverse range of legal experience to his role at Simmons Hanly Conroy. With a background involving federal litigation, nonprofits, and judicial clerkships, he approaches each case with care and a commitment to justice.

Thomas is dedicated to building strong relationships with his clients and believes that mutual respect and open communication are essential to effective legal representation.

“I feel honored when a client entrusts me with their case,” said Thomas. “My first instinct is always to listen and to be considerate of the trust they’ve placed in me to do a good job and deliver a satisfactory resolution.”

Fighting Against Corporate Misconduct

At Simmons Hanly Conroy, Thomas works as a document reviewer for opioid and complex litigation cases. He identifies, organizes, and analyzes critical evidence to build a strong case on behalf of his clients.

With his sharp attention to detail and technical skills, Thomas identifies corporate misconduct and patterns of wrongdoing, helping to ensure that companies are held accountable for the harm they’ve caused.

“I’m proud to be a lawyer who uses their degree to uplift vulnerable clients and works to curtail exploitative practices,” said Thomas.

Currently, Thomas plays a key role in the firm’s efforts to combat unfair insulin price fixing across the country.

This ongoing lawsuit aims to seek justice for patients affected by excessive insulin costs, alleging that pharmaceutical companies have engaged in price-fixing practices to increase their profits while everyday Americans struggle to access this life-saving medication.

Background & Experience

Thomas was born in New Jersey. He spent part of his childhood in Hawaii on the island of Oahu before his family moved to Austin, Texas.

Growing up, his parents were small business owners. Thomas witnessed firsthand how an attorney helped them navigate the legal challenges of establishing and managing a business, which sparked his interest in law.

After high school, Thomas attended American University’s School of Public Affairs, where he studied Political Science. He later earned his J.D. from the University of the District of Columbia’s David A. Clarke School of Law, graduating magna cum laude.

Throughout his education, Thomas actively volunteered in his community, including working with A Wider Circle to provide families with essential services to combat poverty and representing clients in UDC Law’s Housing Clinic.

Before joining Simmons Hanly Conroy, Thomas gained valuable experience as a law clerk in the Department of Justice’s Commercial Litigation Branch, Fraud Section. He has also worked with the AARP Legal Foundation and the Criminal Division of the D.C. Superior Court.
