LaTanyta Manuel’s husband, Andrew, was diagnosed with pleural mesothelioma in 2002 after having been exposed to asbestos both as a child in New Orleans and throughout his life. After a series of surgeries and chemotherapy, Andrew lost his battle against mesothelioma in January of 2004. He left behind LaTanyta and their three children.
