NEW YORK – Simmons Hanly Conroy, one of the nation’s largest mass torts firms and a national leader in the legal representation of mesothelioma patients and their families, is pleased to announce that firm partner Brett F. Fuller has been named a Rising Star honoree by the New York Law Journal (NYLJ) and Law.com’s 2025 New York Legal Awards.
“We extend congratulations to Brett on being named a Rising Star by the 2025 New York Legal Awards,” said Nicholas J. Angelides, chair of Simmons Hanly Conroy’s Asbestos Department. “This well-deserved recognition highlights Brett’s exceptional dedication and accomplishments at this early stage of his career. His relentless commitment to helping victims of mesothelioma and asbestos-related diseases, along with his impressive track record in managing complex cases, truly sets him apart. I have no doubt that Brett is destined to become a future leader in the legal profession, and I look forward to seeing his continued success.”
Fuller will be recognized, along with other honorees and finalists, at an awards dinner Sept. 4 in New York City. The Rising Star award recognizes promising lawyers under the age of 40 who have achieved significant accomplishments in the early stages of their careers. The award celebrates those who are expected to become future leaders in the legal profession.
The New York Legal Awards honor the attorneys and judges whose dedication, innovation, and leadership have profoundly impacted the legal profession across the state. According to NYLJ and Law.com publisher ALM, these individuals represent the pinnacle of legal achievement in New York.
Based in the firm’s New York City office, Fuller focuses his practice on helping victims of mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases. A member of Simmons Hanly Conroy’s Asbestos Litigation Department, he works with a team of attorneys to give clients a voice against corporations that prioritized profits over individuals’ health and safety. He has managed cases for a decade and defended hundreds of depositions, taking on 30 to 40 new matters each year, and has delivered results in complex and unprecedented asbestos exposure matters.
Fuller earned his J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from Kenyon College.
