SHC Foundation Golf Tournament 2025

ALTON, Ill. – Simmons Hanly Conroy, a national leader in the legal representation of mesothelioma patients and their families, is pleased to announce that this year’s SHC Foundation Golf Tournament will take place June 6 at the Spencer T. Olin Golf Course, 4701 College Ave., in Alton, Illinois. The annual event will benefit Annie’s Hope and Overnight Warming Locations (OWLs).

Now in its 18th year, the tournament has raised more than $317,000 benefiting area organizations and charities.

“It is a privilege for us to continue the SHC Foundation Golf Tournament to advocate for and assist those in need in our community and to foster a giving spirit among area golfers and sport enthusiasts, our friends, and other supporters,” said SHC Foundation Director Tamara Jesse. “We are happy to be able to provide much-needed assistance through this event to the very worthy Annie’s Hope and Overnight Warming Locations. We also are extremely grateful to the Spencer T. Olin Golf Course for its enthusiastic support of the tournament and the SHC Foundation.”

Annie’s Hope is a community-based nonprofit that offers services at no cost for children, teens, and their families who are grieving a death. Its mission is to provide comprehensive support services — including support groups, camps, and retreats — for grief due to death and to lead transformational change in the way the St. Louis region views, acknowledges and responds to grief, death, and dying.

Overnight Warming Locations through the Greater Alton Community Development Corporation operate every winter season to provide sanctuary for area neighbors on the coldest nights of the year. The organization provides warm housing, meals, clothing, showers, and survival items such as tents, sleeping bags and personal hygiene items. It also assists guests in obtaining housing and medical care, applying for assistance programs, and much more. Its focus is preventing death and suffering among the most socially and economically vulnerable residents in the community.

The SHC Foundation Golf Tournament offers morning (8 a.m.) and afternoon (2 p.m.) flights and is organized in a four-person team scramble format. Cash prizes will be awarded to first and second place finishing teams.

Entry fees for the tournament are $500 per team. Fees cover green fees, cart rental, a complimentary gift, and post-round meals at the clubhouse.

Tournament sponsorships are available for $2,500 or $1,500, and hole sponsorships cost $150. Tax-deductible donations are also accepted.
