Partner Jared Hausmann Named 2026 ‘Influential Appellate Attorney’ by Missouri Lawyers Media

Simmons Hanly Conroy Attorney Named Influential Appellate Attorney 2026

ALTON, Ill. – Simmons Hanly Conroy, a national leader in the legal representation of mesothelioma patients and their families, is pleased to announce that Jared Hausmann, a partner in the firm’s Alton office, has been recognized as a 2026 “Influential Appellate Attorney” by Missouri Lawyers Media.

The Missouri Lawyers Awards recognize lawyers in various roles who made an impact in the previous year. The “Influential Appellate Attorney” award honors “the lawyers behind the most significant appellate decisions of the year,” according to Missouri Lawyers Media.

Hausmann was formally recognized at the Missouri Lawyers Awards ceremony in St. Louis on February 12.

Jared has demonstrated outstanding skill and proficiency that has greatly benefited his clients, all of whom deserve to have their rights defended as asbestos victims,” said Simmons Hanly Conroy Managing Partner Laurence V. Nassif. “We are very proud of Jared and congratulate him on being named an ‘Influential Appellate Attorney’ by Missouri Lawyers Media.”

Hausmann focuses his practice on helping individuals and their families who have been affected by mesothelioma, a rare form of cancer caused by asbestos exposure. He concentrates on motions, defendant discovery, and appeals.

Hausmann was recognized with the “Influential Appellate Attorney” award due to his work as a member of the firm’s appellate team, who have a proven track record of ensuring that asbestos verdicts are affirmed on appeal.

Recently, the team won an appeal of a $15 million verdict against a joint compound manufacturer on behalf of the family of a construction worker who passed away from mesothelioma. The appeal was one of the first decided under New York’s Nemeth standard for causation in toxic tort cases.

Hausmann received his J.D., magna cum laude, from St. Louis University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from Eastern Illinois University.
