On July 13, 2012 Jayne Conroy was appointed to the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in the Zoloft Products Liability Multidistrict Litigation pending before Judge Cynthia M. Rufe in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Separately, earlier in 2012 Ms. Conroy was appointed to Steering Committee positions by United States District Judge Doherty of the Western District of Louisiana in the Actos Products Liability Multidistrict Litigation, and by United States District Judge Goodwin of the Southern District of West Virginia in the Pelvic Repair System Products Liability Litigation. This brings to 10 the number of appointments in recent years of Ms. Conroy to leadership positions in complex multidistrict litigation involving prescription drugs and medical devices, and is a testament to her reputation and that of Simmons Hanly Conroy as leaders in federal multidistrict litigation throughout the country.
