Meet Your Asbestos Trial Team Investigator

Loring Williams is a member of our team of Asbestos Case Investigators at Simmons Hanly Conroy. As such, he is responsible for gathering details about a client’s asbestos exposure and medical history. Loring travels around the country to meet in-person with potential mesothelioma clients to discuss their case and walk them through the legal documents. These details and documents allow the legal team to get started on a claim immediately.

Loring was first introduced to Simmons Hanly Conroy after his wife, Mary Jane was diagnosed with peritoneal mesothelioma in 2003 and the couple became clients. Over the course of her illness, they made 43 trips together from Ohio to New York City for surgeries, chemotherapy, scans, and checkups. Mary Jane was a 15-year survivor of peritoneal mesothelioma and sadly died of Alzheimer’s in 2018. Mary Jane was not only a fighter until the end, but a huge advocate of the firm.

Loring officially started working at Simmons Hanly Conroy a year after Mary Jane’s diagnosis. His love for his late wife inspires Loring to continue helping patients and families diagnosed with mesothelioma to this day.

A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Loring served as a Machinist Mate aboard an oiler from 1964 to 1967 with two tours in Vietnam. He is a proud veteran — making his favorite holidays Veteran’s Day and July 4th. Thanks to the GI Bill, Loring was able to graduate from Wright State University. During his civilian life, he actually retired twice: first from the oil industry and then a second time as vice president of operations for a foodservice distribution company.

Loring currently lives with his wonderful son, Travis, who was born with a brittle bone disease and some developmental challenges. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, boating, or most anything involving the water. He is a James Bond fanatic, and ever since the Beatles topped the charts in high school, he has continued to love rock music.

Loring has always wanted to help people, a trait inherited from his swimming instructor mother who worked in the pool with people stricken by polio. He strongly believes that connecting mesothelioma victims with Simmons Hanly Conroy is one of the best things that he can provide them. Seeing people suffer is the toughest part of his job. Being a client, he knows firsthand how Simmons Hanly Conroy can change their lives and the lives of their family. His motto is, “I’m here to serve.”
