Washington Family Files a Roblox SA Lawsuit
In January 2026, the parents of a Washington child filed a Roblox SA lawsuit, alleging their daughter was exploited by someone she met on Roblox.
The girl was 12 when she began communicating with a user who claimed to be her age. After building trust, the user sent her sexually explicit images and pressured her to do the same. This eventually led to multiple suicide attempts.
The Roblox lawsuit claims the company misrepresented how safe the platform was for children, which influenced the family’s decision to allow their daughter to use it. They are seeking compensation for the psychological and emotional harm their child suffered.
Illinois Roblox Sexual Abuse Claim
A Peoria County girl and her mother filed a lawsuit alleging the child was groomed and exploited by a Chicago man she first encountered on Roblox.
After the conversation moved to Discord and Snapchat, the man reportedly coerced the child into sending sexually explicit images. He eventually abducted and sexually assaulted her multiple times, according to the lawsuit.
The family claims these platforms created an environment that allowed predators to identify, contact, and manipulate children.
Roblox Grooming Lawsuit Filed by Florida Family
In December 2025, a family in Nassau County filed a Roblox grooming lawsuit after their 5-year-old child was allegedly targeted by a person he met through the online platform.
The individual reportedly posed as another child while communicating with the boy on Roblox and asked where he went to school before showing up during afternoon dismissal and attempting to abduct the child.
The family alleges Roblox marketed their platform as safe for children yet failed to implement adequate safeguards to prevent adults from contacting young users.
Roblox and Discord Lawsuit for Sexual Abuse
In October 2025, a father filed a lawsuit against Roblox and Discord after his 13-year-old son was targeted by an alleged sex offender posing as a 16-year-old on a popular “Pet Simulator” game.
The boy was promised Roblox gift cards in exchange for sending sexually explicit photos of himself through Discord, according to the lawsuit. The images were then used to blackmail and extort the child.

Roblox Wrongful Death Lawsuit in California
In September 2025, a California mother filed a Roblox wrongful death lawsuit after her son was exploited through Roblox and Discord before dying by suicide at the age of 15.
The boy was reportedly targeted by an adult man posing as a child on Roblox when he was just 12 years old. The man encouraged him to disable parental controls and moved the conversation to Discord, where the grooming and exploitation escalated.
After demanding that the boy send him explicit images, the man threatened to post them if more images weren’t shared. The family alleges that stronger age verification and user screening could’ve prevented the exploitation that contributed to their son’s death.
