Attorneys Barnerd and Lesko Named 2009 Illinois “Rising Stars” by Super Lawyers Magazine

Illinois Super Lawyers has recognized Simmons Hanly Conroy shareholder and mesothelioma lawyer John Barnerd as a 2009 “Rising Star.” This is the second year in a row Barnerd has received this distinction. “Rising Stars” are the best attorneys who are either 40 years of age or under or who have been practicing law for 10 or fewer years.

Since 2002, John Barnerd has dedicated his practice to representing victims of mesothelioma. He has a thorough understanding of the personal, legal and financial challenges faced by victims of the disease.

Paul Lesko heads the firm’s Intellectual Property department. Paul focuses his practice on helping inventors and small businesses develop and maintain an equal footing in the marketplace by enforcing his clients’ intellectual property rights. His broad background includes preparing, prosecuting and litigating pharmaceutical, chemical, mechanical and biotechnology patents.
