Paul Lesko, intellectual property attorney and Simmons Hanly Conroy shareholder, has been asked again to present at the Sports and Gaming Collectible Industry Summit, the largest annual conference for sports card, collectible and gaming professionals in the industry. The Summit will take place March 16-19 in Las Vegas at the Orleans Hotel & Casino.
The legal panel will take place at 11 a.m., Monday, March 17. Lesko returns for his third year on the Summit’s legal panel. Topics he will discuss include the continuing importance of litigation over trademarks and the increase in copyright litigation due to infringements related to the Internet and smart phone/tablet apps. The effects of contest, sweepstakes and lottery laws on the box break market will also be addressed. The seminar will conclude with an always-popular Q&A segment.
“I’m honored to again be included on the Industry Summit’s legal panel,” Lesko said. “The Summit will offer attendees valuable information and news about the collectibles industry, and anyone who attends the legal panel will walk away with inside perspective on the law and how it affects manufacturers, retailers, distributors and collectors.”
On Sunday, Lesko will be at a 4:30 p.m. “Meet and Greet’ at the Cardboard Connection booth.
Lesko is a shareholder at Simmons Browder Gianaris Angelides and Barnerd. He is also a baseball and college basketball fan and an avid baseball card collector. He writes the popular legal sports memorabilia column “Law of Cards” for the online magazine Cardboard Connection and makes regular appearances on the magazine’s twice weekly Internet radio show.
