ALTON, Illinois – Simmons Hanly Conroy, a national leader in the legal representation of mesothelioma patients and their families, is pleased to announce that firm partner Megan L. Williams is among the winners of Missouri Lawyers Media’s 2025 Women’s Justice Awards in the Litigation Practitioner category.

Williams and other honorees will be formally recognized April 10 at an awards ceremony in St. Charles, Missouri.

The Women’s Justice Awards recognize women across Missouri who have demonstrated leadership, integrity, service, sacrifice, and accomplishment in improving the quality of justice and exemplifying the highest ideals of the legal profession. The awards reach out to women in various segments of the legal community, including the bar, the bench, public office, business, academia, nonprofits, and the state at large. The Litigation Practitioner category recognizes “the woman whose career is made in the court room; civil or criminal, plaintiff or defense,” according to Missouri Lawyers Media.

Missouri Lawyers Media is a division of Bridgetower Media, a publisher of law and business publications in multiple markets across the nation.

As leader of Simmons Hanly Conroy’s Probate Division, Williams focuses her practice on probate issues related to asbestos cases. She helps those affected by asbestos-related diseases, including mesothelioma, some of which are terminal, guiding families through any potential probate issues related to their case.

Prior to joining the firm, Williams served as the assistant regional director for the Anti-Defamation League, covering Southern Illinois, Missouri, and Eastern Kansas. Williams earned her J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from Loyola University Chicago.
