Shareholder Nicholas Angelides Named to Missouri Lawyers Weekly’s “Up & Coming Class of 2011”

Simmons Hanly Conroy shareholder Nicholas Angelides has been named to Missouri Lawyers Weekly’s “Up & Coming Class of 2011.”

The judges read through more than 130 nomination packets to select the 48 honorees for this year based on their contributions to the legal profession and the community. Nominees had to be either under 40 years old or in their first 10 years in the profession.

Angelides has represented victims of mesothelioma since 2003 and currently heads a team of attorneys that prepare these scientifically and legally complex cases for trial. He has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of his clients.

Angelides graduated magna cum laude from Saint Louis University School of Law in 1999 and is a member of the Order of the Woolsack. After a Missouri Court of Appeals clerkship for the Honorable Paul J. Simon, he represented victims of sexual abuse, medical malpractice, consumer fraud and catastrophic injuries in Missouri and Illinois state and federal courts.

The Class of 2011 was selected by a panel that included former Up & Coming award winners James Hacking III of the Hacking Law Practice, Neil Chanter of Strong Garner and Bauer, Judges Kenneth Garrett and J. Miles Sweeney, and Missouri Lawyers Weekly Editor Richard Jackoway.

The winners will receive their awards Sept. 15 during a reception and presentation at the Mad Art Gallery in St. Louis.
