Simmons Hanly Conroy Lawyers Named 2010 “Rising Stars” By Super Lawyers Magazine

Illinois Super Lawyers has recognized Simmons Hanly Conroy Shareholder John Barnerd and intellectual property lawyer Paul Lesko as 2010 “Rising Stars.” This is the third year in a row Barnerd has received this distinction, and the second year in a row for Lesko. “Rising Stars” are the best attorneys who are either 40 years of age or under or who have been practicing law for 10 or fewer years.

Since 2002, John Barnerd has dedicated his practice to representing victims of mesothelioma. He has a thorough understanding of the personal, legal and financial challenges faced by victims of the disease. In July 2009 his name was added to the letterhead when the firm changed its business name to Simmons Hanly Conroy LLC.

Paul Lesko heads the firm’s intellectual property department. Paul focuses his practice on helping inventors and small businesses develop and maintain an equal footing in the marketplace by enforcing his clients’ intellectual property rights. His broad background includes preparing, prosecuting and litigating pharmaceutical, chemical, mechanical and biotechnology patents.
